This guide is made to inspire anyone wishing to join the NFT universe, led by the incredible art, vision and team of Dixie’Polis. But before that;

First of all, consider this, only 5% of the world’s population actually owns an NFT. In the light of the data, if we look at the rate of NFT ownership over time, this number is increasing. While there were 40,000 wallets actively trading NFT on the Ethereum blockchain in March of this year, this number has now exceeded 265 thousand! Dixie’Polis is only a part of this trend and investment opportunity.

How do you buy a Dixie’Polis NFT? For this, you need to have a MetaMask wallet and enough MATIC in the same wallet and connect to Dixie’Polis website on the day of the Minting.

Buy MATIC on an Exchange

Okay let’s go. Step one. MATIC over MetaMask (Polygon is the blockchain that powers the cryptocurrency MATIC. Many call it Polygon. No problem.) You can also buy ETH on Metamask and convert it to MATIC, but the ETH gas fee is high. A cheaper and easier way is to buy through an exchange.

Choose from Coinbase, Huobi, Binance, FTX, Okex, Kraken or KuCoin. There are other cryptocurrency exchanges as well, but stick with the more familiar platforms as this is your first time purchasing an NFT. You know, most crypto exchanges now require you to fill out a KYC (Know Your Customer), so have a photo ID handy.

The MetaMask Wallet

Exchanges allow you to convert your Dollars and Euros to MATIC. But you cannot buy NFT from an exchange. The next step is to set up a MetaMask wallet. Just use Metamask.io for this. Owning MetaMask allows you to connect to the Dixie’Polis website and become a part of the mint. (There are other wallets, but we recommend MetaMask.)

Click on Download

Click on Create a Wallet

Accept the Terms

Create a unique, strong password for yourself

The next step, the seed phrase, is of great importance for your wallet. The seed phrase is everything. If you lose, you sink. To date, many people have lost millions of dollars and NFTs because they lost or forgot their seed phrase. We think you understand its importance . Write down your Seed Phrase on a piece of paper and store it in multiple places. We don’t recommend keeping it on your phone or PC (unless you’re a cryptographic password manager with a VPN provider with worldwide connectivity). Do not take photos. Do not email yourself. In short, do not make the mistake of storing it in digital media.

Binance to MetaMask

Now you need some MATIC in your wallet. Sending your MATIC from the exchange to your MetaMask is done by clicking ACCOUNT 1 in MetaMask. This copies your wallet address.

1. Copy your MATIC address from MetaMask

2. Log in to your Binance account

3. Navigate to your fiat and spot wallet

4. Click on “Withdraw” next to “MATIC”

5. Send your MATIC to MetaMask

Next, go back to your exchange. Find your MATIC, click transfer, paste your address, type in the amount of MATIC you want to send and confirm the transfer. It may take up to 30 minutes, but your MATIC will soon be in your MetaMask wallet.
